Function
This product keeps disperse dye particles evenly spread through the dyebath so they strike the fabric without clumping. It is used in polyester and polyester-blend dyeing, particularly at the high temperatures those dyes need. It prevents dye specks on the fabric surface and stops dye that has come off the undyed fibre in a blend from redepositing on it.
Typical applications and what it solves
- Dye specking or spotting on the fabric surface after high-temperature disperse dyeing
- Uneven pick-up traced back to dye particle aggregation in the bath
- Back-staining of the undyed fibre in a polyester blend
